I got so far...

This is On Fire by Switchfoot
Submitted by Aaron Cano
If you’ve got The Beautiful Letdown album, the track is number 9.
I'll try to tab everything, but because the song's licks are on the
piano, it is more difficult to tab on guitar ok but here it is.
Tuning is standard.

Intro: e- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
          B- 13-12 - - 13-12 - -13 12- - - - - - - - - - - -
          G- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 12-14 12- - - - - -
          D- - - - 12- - - - - - - - -12 - - - - - - - - - -
          A- - - - - - - - - 12- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
          E- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This intro is played almost the entire song thru except at the end
of the first chorus..."burning at these mysteries"...it stops
at "mysteries".

Here's the song

Verse 1:
C G
They tell you where you need to go
                           Am F
They tell you when you need to leave
C G
They tell you what you need to know
                          Am F
They tell you who you need to be

Pre-chorus 1:
    C
But everything inside you knows
         G
There's more than what you've heard
                 Am
There's so much more than empty conversations
F
Filled with empty words

Chorus 1:
               C G
And you're on fire when he's near you
           Am G
You're on fire when he speaks
           C G
You're on fire burning at
C (and then there's the stop)
These mysteries

Verse 2:
C G
Give me one more time around
                       Am F
Give me one more chance to see
C G
Give me everything You are
                       Am
Give me one more chance to be
        F
near You yea-eh

Prechorus 2:
     C
When everything inside me looks like
G
Everything I hate You are the
 Am
Hope I have for change You are the
F
Only chance I'll take

Chorus 2:
	        C G
And I'm on fire when You're near me
                    Am F
And I'm on fire when You speak
                    C G
And I'm on fire burning out
            Am F
these mysteries mysteries mysteries

Then there’s the musical break and you’ll come in on the bridge,
then after this bridge, you’ll play the chorus twice, but you can
actually do it as many times as you want.

Bridge:
	       C
I’ve been standing on the edge of me
    G
Standing on the edge of me
   Am
Standing on the edge of me
    F
Standing on the edge of me
    C G
Standing on the edge of everything I’ve never been before
    Am
Standing on the edge of me
    F
Standing on the edge…

And then you’ve got the chorus 2 a couple more times and wham!
That’s the song

Now, there's something really cool you can do with this song...
If you wanted to be cool, you could take your capo and put it on the
5th fret and play the song in G but when you play the 'G' you'll
take it down to a 'Gmaj7' which looks like this
e-2-
B-0-
G-0-
D-0- only that you'll have your capo on the fifth fret
A-2-
E-3-

so if you play like that you'll go
C=G, G=D, Am=Em, and F=C

Ok the cool part is though..the high part(the intro)instead of
what's at the top of this, you'll go:
e-3-2-2-3-2-2-3-2-0- -0-0
B- - -0- - -3- - -0-3- -1
G- - -0- - -2- - -0- - -0
D- - -0- - -0- - -2- - -2 only that you'll have your
A- - -2- - -x- - -2- - -3 capo on the fifth fret and
E- - -3- - -x- - -0- - -x it will be relative to capo

So yea there's the coolness have fun with this song.
